Atrial fibrillation research by the AFIP foundation

Investigating New Ongoing Atrial Fibrillation via Citizen Science

Our platform initiates new research focused on atrial fibrillation, to which you can contribute. The AFIP Foundation does this on the basis of citizen science. This is also called ‘citizen science’. In case your responses provide new insights, our medical professionals set up trial studies. These potentially develop into scientific research.

Survey: Pesticides and AFib

Do you have a heart rhythm disorder and do you suspect that pesticides can play a role through, for example, inhalation or food? Do you work with pesticides as part of your profession or do you live in an environment where a lot of pesticides are sprayed? The AFIP Foundation takes your experience with you in laboratory work.

Survey: Stress and AFib

Do you have atrial fibrillation and are you experiencing stress? Help us take the first steps towards new research and help us better understand this connection.

Survey: COVID-19 and AFib

The research on the relationship between COVID-19 and atrial fibrillation is scarce. Share your findings with the AFIP foundation now to encourage follow-up steps in research.

You’re being heard

The AFIP Foundation strives for optimal collaboration between patients and researchers in the field of atrial fibrillation. Only then can we take the step to tailor-made treatments. Support the studies launched with the community today.
